Work by Saturday Academy

Saturday Academy offers two programs to local students. Classes & Camps is an open enrollment program, while our ASE Internship Program is a highly competitive internship program.

Saturday Academy’s Classes & Workshops program provides adventures for the curious! Our classes are for anyone who wants to explore new topics and likes to learn by doing. Classes listed in our catalog are offered whenever students are not in school, including weekends, evenings, and breaks. Our classes are small, informal, and project-oriented. Students can explore a multitude of topics from science, engineering, and technology, to humanities and the arts. There are no tests or grades at Saturday Academy, and only occasionally are there prerequisites. Classes are held throughout the Portland, OR metro area and are taught by professionals from many different fields. Our instructors bring expertise, enthusiasm and curiosity. in the subjects they’ve chosen to teach.

Saturday Academy’s ASE Program offers 9 - 11th grade students the opportunity to work with scientists and engineers for eight weeks, full-time, during the summer. The application process begins in November for the next summer and is a two part process.
