Sharp Systems of America - USA Corporate Development
Challenge
Sharp Corporate was opening a reseller and VAR based business that focused on American sales. The company required a new look and feel, marketing, and internet-based business strategy to compliment their shipping and inventory strategies. They were preparing to launch several new monitor and laptop product lines into the American market and needed support defining the business strategies.
Solution
We met in their Los Angeles headquarters to brainstorm on the type of customer care, ordering, and registration services they would need online. We designed a phased development strategy for each service while also putting considerable effort in providing visually compelling marketing messages and interactive animations that explained the truly innovative products in a way that the average person could understand.
Results
The client was very happy with the marketing and system development we provided. The client received internal recognition for the animated illustrations we developed to explain some of the technological innovations Sharp had to offer. The illustrations were used throughout the enterprise in powerpoints, advertisements and online developer centers.
Robert's Thoughts
This project was the third project where I needed to audit inventory and business sales processes. The online services needed to integrate with the inventory and shipping centers while also providing a centralized contact management service. The initial prototypes meet the basic needs of the client. However a year later the other marketing and product divisions of Sharp were consolidated and the systems were replaced with the Shop.Sharp.com eCommerce engine.
